January 2025 Trip Highlights!

We are thrilled to share the highlights from our January trip to Ethiopia! Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to make significant strides in our mission to empower the children and families of Korah.

🏡 House Visits: We completed visits to the homes of all our newly admitted students, strengthening relationships with their families and ensuring we fully understand their living conditions.

🏥 Medical Clinic:  We hosted a medical clinic for our students, their families and the greater Korah community, providing essential care and support to families in need.

🥕 Emergency Food Distribution: Three months’ worth of emergency food supplies were distributed to every family in the program, ensuring they are well-supported during these challenging times.

👨‍🎓 Graduation Celebration: We were honored to participate in a graduation celebration for a cohort of recent OA graduates. It was a momentous occasion as we celebrated their perseverance in completing their academic careers and their ambitions to enter the workforce in their fields of study. 11 of the 13 are already employed!! We are so proud of their accomplishments!

💜 Meaningful Time with Students and Staff:  Every day, we spent time with our students and staff at the OA compound, deepening our relationships and supporting the community in every way we could.

Thank you for being a part of this life-changing work. Together, we are helping to build brighter futures for the children and families in Korah.

With gratitude,

The Out of the Ashes Team
