Why We Do It: OA Success Stories (Vol. 15)
One of the main tenants of why we do what we do is visible on the Out of the Ashes Inc. website on the homepage. It reads:
“Breaking the cycle of poverty through education.”
So you can imagine how proud we were to receive yet another amazing update from our Ethiopian Staff regarding a student who not only graduated from the OA Program but did so while obtaining a very high honor.

This is Dagmawit’s Story
“Dear Stacy,
I hope you are doing well.
Here I have a success story!
Africa Health College has held its graduation day on October 16, 2021. The graduation ceremony was held for more than 600 students who were pursuing their education in Radiology, Health Officer, Nursing and Pharmacy.
The college has awarded outstanding students from each respective department.
From the many outstanding students, Out of the Ashes Inc’s Dagmawit, who attended class in Radiology, was one of them and took a medal. She stood the second from the top of three students in her class.
It was so stirring to hear such a story and it encourages OA Staff to keep changing the lives of many through education. I have attached photos of Dagmawit for you to enjoy.
