OA Alumni Giving Back in Countless Ways 💜

As we have been sharing, we have 13 kiddos that are waiting for a partial or full sponsor to come alongside and support them, but as of this week.. make that 12🎉

It’s always so special when one of our kiddos gets a sponsor and the lifelong support relationship between a child and their sponsor kicks off, but this time it is extra sweet because a group of our very own OA alumni group came together to sponsor Amen! We’re excited to pass along this heartfelt message from them:

“We are extremely grateful for what you have done for us. The assistance, direction, and opportunities you have provided have been critical to our success. Thanks to your efforts, we have not only earned the knowledge and abilities to follow our aspirations, but we have also been given the opportunity to thrive in ways we never imagined imaginable.

As we stand here today, we acknowledge that we would not be where we are without your strong faith in us. We wish to repay the gratitude, not only with words, but with actions. It’s time for us to give back, to pass on the compassion and care we’ve received, and to be there for the next generation of children who come through your doors.

We are honored to support your cause, to be a part of an organization that has already assisted us, and to give back by sponsoring a kid in need. We believe that by doing so, we might help others attain their full potential in the same way that you have helped us. We are truly grateful and thrilled to be a part of this incredible excitement together.”

This is not the only instance of OA alumni giving back, we have had many come and volunteer so far this year! One instance being Mahlet, who has been volunteering her time and energy in our library. She shared with us this sweet message that we’re thankful to pass along:

“Walking into this library everyday feels like coming full circle. I know what it’s like to search for hope between the lines of a book, and now, I get to be that guiding hand for others. Seeing a child’s eyes light up when they discover a new story reminds me why I’m here—it’s my way of giving back.” 

The ripple effect of Out of the Ashes is something only God can do! We are so thankful for the OA staff, sponsors and supporters that He has gifted us with  💜
