Because of you, hope is reaching children and families in Korah, in meaningful and tangible ways. Whether you’ve supported a child through sponsorship, given financially, prayed for our mission, traveled alongside us, or shared our story with others, you are part of what God is doing through Out of the Ashes!

One beautiful example of this impact is our recent food distribution for families in our program. As families navigate the challenges of rising living costs, these food packages provide practical support and a reminder that they are seen, loved, and not forgotten.

At Out of the Ashes, we believe caring for children means investing not only in their education but also in their health and well-being.

Recently, Dr. Fitsum provided health education to 91 parents of elementary school students, helping them better understand common childhood illnesses, their causes, prevention, and treatment. Parents learned about conditions such as pneumonia, typhoid, common colds, skin diseases, and other common infections. They also had the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on healthy practices to help protect their children.

In addition to the training, 18 students received medical check-ups for various health concerns. When needed, they were provided with prescriptions and guidance for appropriate treatment.

These efforts help equip parents with valuable knowledge while ensuring children receive care when they need it. We’re grateful to everyone who makes this holistic support possible as we continue educating and empowering children and families in Korah!

As we are full gratitude for all that God is doing through our OA family, we’re reminded that there are still more children waiting for the opportunity to thrive!

Right now, 34 children in Korah are waiting for a sponsor. Behind each number is a child with dreams, potential, and a future worth investing in. Sponsorship helps provide access to education, meals, medical care, emotional support, and opportunities to grow and thrive.

We know that committing to full sponsorship isn’t possible for everyone, and that’s okay! Partial sponsorship is also a meaningful way to make a difference. Every contribution helps us continue investing in these children and their futures.
